InDesign is a powerful layout program because of its close association to Illustrator and Photoshop. The ease with which one can import and combine vector and raster images, and make use of illustrator tools like brushes and borders, makes it possible to create an impressive presentation, be it a simple bookmark or a commemorative poster.

Creating this winter concert poster in InDesign bypasses the need to use Photoshop to put together a multi-layered head image. The images: a duotone raster prepared in Photoshop, a semi-transparent rice paper, and two vector (logo and dragonfly) were layered directly in InDesign. The font is added on another layer, next to a gradient color strip overlayered with a transparent poinsettia at the end. All elements were put together seamlessly in InDesign. |
